Do We Share Your Information?

We may share your information with trusted third parties—such as delivery companies or payment processors—when necessary to complete your order or when required by law. We never share your personal information with third parties for marketing or mailing purposes.

Information / FAQ

1. Locking Wheel Nuts & Tools

All vehicles must be supplied with the correct locking wheel nut key and any special tools required for wheel removal. If wheel nuts or locking nuts have been excessively tightened before arriving at our workshop, the nuts or the locking tool may break during removal. Excessive tightening can also damage the wheel assembly, including stretched or broken studs.

2. Vehicles Left on Our Premises

Vehicles left with us are insured for accidental damage only. We cannot accept responsibility for pre‑existing damage or poor condition. Please remove all personal belongings, as we cannot be responsible for items left inside the vehicle. We are also not liable for mechanical issues that arise while the vehicle is on our premises. Customers should ensure their own insurance covers the vehicle during this time.

3. Service Expectations

We aim to complete the service included in your selected package. This is dependent on the wheels being free from hidden defects that may delay or prevent repair.

4. Additional Work & Safety

We will always contact you before carrying out any additional work, such as straightening. We reserve the right to refuse a repair if we believe the wheel will not be safe once completed. Severely bent or cracked wheels may never perform to their original standard.

5. Finish Quality

We refurbish wheels to the highest standard. However, wheels with severe damage, poor casting, previous low‑quality repairs, or heavy corrosion (which may only become visible once the old finish is removed) may not achieve a perfect finish. Please consider the cost of replacement versus refurbishment—our work offers a high‑quality result at a fraction of the price of a new wheel.

6. Colour Matching

We recommend refurbishing wheels in pairs (minimum of two) to ensure the closest possible colour match between powder coat finishes.

7. Warranty

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months on powder‑coated and painted wheels unless stated otherwise. The warranty covers the appearance and durability of our coatings. It does not cover:

  • Accidental or intentional damage
  • Knock‑on weights
  • Kerbing
  • Stone chips
  • Off‑road use
  • Acidic cleaners
  • Corrosion caused after physical damage

Please allow at least 5 days before pressure‑washing painted wheels.

8. Wheel Straightening, Welding & Tyre Damage

Straightening results can vary depending on wheel material and manufacturer. There is always a risk of cracking during the process. If cracking occurs, we may offer welding at an additional cost with your permission.

Driving on an under‑inflated tyre can cause internal damage that may not be visible until reinflated or driven on.

No warranty is provided for repairs involving straightening, welding, or bead sealing.

If we weld a wheel, this is not a permanent or complete repair. It is a temporary measure to get you safely back on the road until the wheel can be replaced. If a wheel already has two or more welds, we will not repair it again—the wheel must be replaced for safety.

9. TPMS Sensors

Tyre pressure sensors can sometimes cause issues. We may need to cut the valve core and replace it, leaving the sensor intact. If previous tyre fitters have damaged sensors, we cannot accept responsibility. If we identify any additional issues, we will contact you before proceeding.

10. Resetting TPMS

Fix A Wheel does not reset vehicle TPMS systems. Please refer to your vehicle manual. Standard rubber valves are included free of charge. Metal or specialist valves are available at extra cost. Original metal valves can be refitted if in good condition, but we cannot guarantee against leaks. We recommend replacing or servicing valve stems each time they are removed.

11. Wheel Bolt/Nut Tightness

We torque all wheels to the manufacturer’s recommended settings. It is the customer’s responsibility to re‑check wheel bolt/nut tightness after 5 miles and again at 35 miles.

12. Illegal or Defective Tyres

We reserve the right to refuse to refit tyres that are illegal or unsafe.

13. Warranty Transfer

All warranties apply only to the original customer and are non‑transferable.

14. Collection of Items

All items must be collected within 14 days of completion. Items not collected within 6 months will be disposed of.

15. Brake Caliper Refurbishment

During caliper refurbishment, a small amount of overspray may reach the brake disc surface. We remove as much as possible, but slight residue may remain. This will naturally burn off during normal braking once the vehicle is driven.
